Thierry Tardy has been a Faculty Member since 2001, and was Course Director of the European Training Course in Security Policy (ETC) between 2005 and 2009. In addition, he serves as the Research Coordinator of the Centre. He is also an Associate Fellow at the Centre for International Studies and Research (Centre d’études et de recherche internationales – CERI) in Paris, France. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Visiting Lecturer at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva. Prior to joining the GCSP, he was a researcher at the Foundation for Strategic Research in Paris and Lecturer at the Institut d’Etudes politiques de Paris as well as at the War College (Collège interarmées de Défense, Paris). His area of expertise covers Crisis Management issues, Collective Security, UN Peacekeeping, French Policy towards Peace Operations and European Security Issues. During the academic year 2009-2010, he was an auditeur at the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (IHEDN) in Paris. He was also the director of the 20th ACUNS-ASIL Summer Workshop on “Civil-Military Relations in Peace Missions”.
